Welcome to the State of Maine Online Voter Registration Service

If you have a current valid Maine driver's license or Maine State ID, you must provide: **

  • Your Maine issued driver's license (DL) or State ID number
  • Your legal name as it appears on your Maine DL or State ID card

** If you do not have a Maine driver's license or Maine State ID, you must provide:

  • The last 4 digits of your Social Security Number
  • An image of your handwritten signature (not a signature created with a computer font). See on how to save a picture of your signature to upload with your application.

This service is not currently available for Maine Voters.

Online voter registration is not available for the 21 days before a state or federal election, but you can still register to vote in person in your municipality. In-person voter registration is available up to and including Election Day.

Download and complete the Maine voter registration form: PDF | Word.

Then return it in-person with your proof of identity and residence to your municipal clerk or registrar.

Don’t have a printer? Your municipal office will have a voter registration card for you to fill out in person.

UOCAVA logo

This service is not currently available for UOCAVA Voters.

Online voter registration is not available for the 21 days before a state or federal election, but UOCAVA voters can still register to vote by sending in a completed voter registration form until noon on the Monday before Election Day.

Download and complete the Federal Post Card Application: PDF.

Then email it with your proof of identity and residence to the Maine Division of Elections at UOCAVA.CEC@maine.gov.
